In 2013 I was approached to direct a music video for Ahoribuzz for the song 'Sugar' at Roundhead Studios in Auckland.  With no budget and no time to prepare, I had to use the powerful performances of the singers as the focal point.  A rummage in Neil Finn's basement found some symbolic props lying around and a great lighting rig set the stage for the dark and intimate set.  The video captures some of the disorientating mix of desire, regret and pain that's channeled in the song. Rest in Peace dear Aaron Tokona.
